He's here!!!!

Our sweet baby, Easton James, made his way into our family on September 28th at 8:59 am. He weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. and 20 inches long. We are so excited to have him in our family...he fits right in and looks just like the other two kiddos. Our hearts have grown 3 times as big now...he is so stinkin sweet and handsome as ever...

I know I look terrible and totally exhausted in this picture but everyone else looks cute....despite Wyatt's XXS pj's. LOL!

I know my face looks terribly chubby in this picture....well, because it was/is. :(

I cant thank Dr. Bailey enough, he is truly the best Dr. EVER!

I have tons more pictures to post and will do it as soon as I get a little more time....for now I am having my patients tested by two rambunctious kids that are still getting used to the fact that there is a new one in the Mitchell home. Being a mom to 3 little ones is THE GREATEST!! ;)

Preschool!

Our little man started preschool on the 12th! I'm not gonna lie, I've had a small amount of anxiety since then. Only because Wyatt has such a soft heart and has a hard time leaving his momma. I knew in the back of my mind this would be a challenge for him, and it has...dangit! I've been so worried he's being a distraction to the other kids. I know how stinkin amazing Mrs. Blackett is so I've been able to tell myself to just keep taking him and he'll get better. Lo and behold, she reassured me today that he is getting tons better and he's just fine once they get going. Oh how I needed that reassurance! He promised he wont cry next time and will be a big boy! I know he'll get better at this preschool thing, it just may take a little time! Speaking of time....where does it go??? I swear it seems like yesterday I was dropping McKall off for her first day of preschool...CRAZY!

SOOO HANDSOME!!!

His SWEET Bumblebee Transformer backpack....

Yahooo for Mr. Wyatt!

About 4 weeks.....

and this little dude will be here! We are sooo EXCITED! McKall and I got to take a little peak at him yesterday. He looks just like her and Wyatt both did about this same time....round little chubby faces! He kept moving his lips, it was so CUTE!! He looked like he was totally squashed and his foot was touching his head...poor little dude, but I know he's completely comfortable! He gets hiccups at least 5 or 6 times a day and does some sweet karate chop moves (as Jen and I sit here at work, and no joke, watch him hiccup and do his famous "Easton moves!") non stop! It's fun to feel that and watch my belly form weird shapes! This will probably be our last child so I'm going to enjoy every little moment! We cant wait to meet you baby Easton....

A little something for myself.....

to remind me not to be jealous or be quick to judge....which I'm not gonna lie, it's easy to get jealous when looking at blogs that "seem to be" the perfect little family. This came from a book my sister is reading called, "5 Spiritual Solutions for Everyday Parenting Challenges." Gosh I think I will barrow it from her when she's done reading it. She says it's really good so far and I loved this when she read it to me and wanted to remember it and read it often.....
Avoiding Like a Plague the Tendency to Judge and Compare
As equally counterproductive with guilt and pride (and as equally inconsistent with truths that we know) are judging and comparing.
It is so easy to look at another family (at church or on a blog) and see them as more organized, more in control, more perfect than we are!
First of all, it's not a fair comparison. Often you are comparing that family at its best to your family at its worst.
And the results of the comparing will almost always be negative-discouragement for you and perhaps animosity or jealousy toward them.
The only thing worse than comparing is judging. And that is so easy to do.
"Look at that kid; he must not be getting a very good example at home!"
"From the looks of that family, they're not very in tune with the gospel."
"They really think they are special don't they? They certainly think they are better than the rest of us."
The safer assumption (and more loving one) is that pretty much every parent you know is doing the best he or she can, given what they know, who their kids are, and what other problems they have.

33 weeks belly bump...

Yep it's BIG!
THE END

PS that shadow isn't helpin me out much is it!

1st day of Kindergarten!

McKall was so dang excited to start school, her mom, not so much! Ha Ha! No, I was really excited for her but just thinking about my little girl going to such a big school, makes me a bit nervous. I wanted to walk her in for her first day but she told me, no mom I can do it all by myself. I talked her in to just letting me follow her to make sure she knew where she was going. She is so independent and must have paid close attention at "back to school night," cause she knew exactly where she was going. She took off running and I had to tell her to come back and give me a hug. Then I felt that lump in my throat and knew that she doesn't need me as much anymore....sad :( yes, I cried!! She loves Mrs. Robison and the fact that she has recess now! She's gonna have lots of fun this year in Kindergarten!! Yahooo McKall!

She thinks it's the neatest thing that she gets to go to the same school as Preston!
Wyatt will be starting school here pretty soon....he cant wait!

Fair days...

were lots of fun this year! Yummy food, stinky animals, the kids both rode a sheep and the Derby just plain rocked our socks off!!!
The pictures of them riding sheep are not the greatest. My camera is not top of the line by no means and has a hard time focusing, but they'll work! Anyways they were both so dang excited to do it, it's all they talked about the week before. Wyatt went first and forgot what dad told him..."hold on tight!" It was so funny to see him come out of the shoot just sitting on top of the sheep not even holding on to it, the sheep taking off and then him flying off the back end...hard to picture, but seriously so funny!! McKall told Chandler when they got next to the sheep, "dad I really dont want to do this," he told her it would be fun and that she could do it! She said, "ok I'll do it but I really dont want to, but I will!" She wrapped her arms tight around it's neck, went a little ways and face planted it right in the dirt...she was about to cry but toughed it out! They both got a little treat and are positive they wont do it again next year! We'll see!

The Derby was so much fun! I'm not gonna lie though, at first we thought it was going to be the worst time ever...it was dang hot and my feet were so swollen. I was not a happy camper. Then this HUGE wind/lightning storm came rollin in and they made eveyone exit the arena for a bit while it passed. It was NUTS! There was garbage everywhere and it looked like a tornado had hit little ol Nephi....craziness! They let everyone back in, it cooled right off and my "cankles" went back to normal....it was nothing but a good time after that!!

Summer Summer Summer

We've had lots of fun this summer and been super busy! Here are a few things our crazy family has been up to.....

*McKall dancing at mini drill! She had lots of fun and she even won a cute little reward for being the best listener...WHAT??? Are you sure we're talking about the same little girl here?! HA HA! She wouldn't even crack a smile while she was dancing....but gosh she's cute and we just love Britney!

*The good ol Ute Stampede Rodeo and carnival....minus pics of the rodeo...didn't get any but it was fun!

*A fun time at the Bee's game! Thanks to CVMC for some sweet tickets, right above the first base line! Although they lost, like really lost, it was still fun and we love baseball....

Notice the dude behind us in this picture...what a goofball!!

*Chandler and I took a fun little over night trip to Park City and did some school shopping...the Mitchell kids are more than set for school! I even snuck in some new clothes for Easton ;) Gosh it's almost been 4 years since I was able to shop for a new little baby...OHHH HOW I LOVE IT....somebody stop me....too many CUTE things!

*Last of all we went to the EnduroCross....the kids loved it, although Wyatt was worn out from playing with Rachel Maggen, Joey, and the boys...he fell asleep close to the first...poor little dude missed most of it :(
Jason was picked to do a 3 legged race with some girl from Salt Lake..they won and we laughed cause the shirt they gave them said Demolition Derby 2009! Are ya joking me??? Thats all they could dig up for a prize at the EnduroCross???? Too funny!

We love summer and we're getting excited for the fair next week...Chandler signed the kids up today to do a little mutton bustin! We'll see how that goes!
We're also getting super excited for our sweet little Easton to come! We've been "trying" to get things ready...a little over 8 weeks and he'll be here. Holy smokes where has the time gone and am I going to be ready??? I sure hope so, cause ready or not......
