4th of July fun!

This year for the 4th of July we went up Nephi Canyon and camped at Big Mountain, aka KOA! Seriously we had a BLAST! The kids including my biggest kid, Chandler ;) swam a bunch and we ate lots, played baseball with the entire family (sad I didn't get any pics of this), and just relaxed and had a good time! Our trailer worked out great for us and we're wanting to go up there again this summer! We always have so dang much fun when we are with family, they are truely the BEST! This will have to become a tradition for sure!

Relay For Life 2011

This was our 2nd year doing Relay For Life and it was tons of fun yet again! This year our team name was TEAM UFC (Ultimately Fighting Cancer)! Our team was so big we had to devide it into two different teams. Rachel and Jason were our team captains and did an awesome job!
I didn't get a whole lot of pictures cause I was a little worn out...being pregnant, staying up all night and walking really kicked my butt! I wouldn't have missed it for the world though, but I have to be honest, I didn't walk as much as I would have liked to. I love walking and remembering my grandma Steiner...I miss her dearly. She was one amazing lady!

Our family has been effected lots with cancer so on the first lap they had our team go first, it was pretty neat and special! We had a fabulous night and cant wait till next year!

Chandler won this stocking hat and looks like such a goof in it! He also won a really nice tiller...our luck was actually good for once!

The luminary bag I made in rememberance of Grandma Steiner...
The reason for the camera's on the bag are because Grandma Steiner ALWAYS had her camera and was taking tons of pictures. We even burried grandma with her camera...she really was a "Pathological Picture Taker!" What I miss most about Grandma Steiner is sitting on her lap, watching Funniest Home Videos and admiring her pretty finger nails...I always wanted my nails to look like grandmas! Miss and love you tons grandma, xoxo ;)

Kudos to Chandler, Jen and Rachel! They walked tons and stayed up ALLLLL night long! WAHOO TEAM UFC! :)

Father's Day!

We had such a great Father's Day this year! Chandler is one amazing dad and the kids think the world of him! Their favorite thing to do with Chandler is wrestle on the tramp...they think that's the BEST thing ever! He is such a fun dad and we love him to pieces! I myself am the biggest daddies girl EVER! I dont know what I would do without my dad, he's the greatest guy I know! I'm sad I dont have a recent picture of me with my dad but the old one will have to do! :)
Ps I know I should really try and keep up on the ol' bloggin stuff cause it's boring to read after it's been so long...sorry :( I will do better, maybe ;)

Grandma Cheri :)

Chandler's grandma Cheri called and said she was headed to California with a friend and would be staying here in Nephi for a night. Lucky for us, we got to eat and visit with her for a while that night. The kids fell in love with her and teased and joked with her the whole time! They were so sad when she left. She is such a sweet lady and we cant wait to see her again...soon hopefully! Here you go grandma Cheri, a cute picture of you and the kids..... ;)

Lemonade for sale....

or wait, it was punch! Ha Ha! Either way this has become the Mitchell kids new favorite thing to do. I think they seen it on Max and Ruby and wanted to give it a try themselves. They did pretty darn good...$1.50 each, not bad at all! It's so cute when they say every other day, "Mom do you work today? We wanna sell lemonade!"
So if you drive by and see the kids out with their lemonade/punch, stop by and get ya some, it's pretty tasty! ;)

Not the best picture but they are sure CUTE and I have yet to buy them a little picnic table with an umbrella for shade...soon hopefully!

Here we go again....

These past couple months have no doubt been a rollercoaster for us Mitchell's. We had a little scare on Friday May 13th....yep Friday the 13th was very much a scary day for us. We took McKall to the doctor with what we thought was a viral infection and thought for sure they would send us home with some medicine and say it just needed to run it's course. We weren't so lucky :( Instead of home, it was yet another trip with our little sweetie to Primary Childrens. This time it all happened so fast and once we found out it was her appendix we were in a huge rush to get her up there. I honestly didn't realize how scary this all was until we asked Dr. Rosenbeck if we could run home and grab a change of clothes. He said, no, you need to get her up there NOW, and as fast as you can without wrecking or getting a ticket. Oh man, this was not good. All we had time for was a quick blessing, which Chandler did an amazing job!
On our way I had remembered praying my heart out the first time we took her to Primary Childrens and everything turned out okay. All I could think this time was PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bless that her appendix had not perforated yet and that my little gal would be okay again. Chandler and I were quite scared but McKall was so brave and strong the entire time. Her fever got way high and she was so thursty but could not eat or drink anything until they were done with the surgery. She did so well and it was a huge relief when Dr. Black told us they had not ruptured yet and we caught it just in time. FEWWW, THANK YOU DR. ROSENBECK! Had they ruptured, they said we would be there about 6 or 7 days getting her anibiotics. We were only there 3 days and she didn't have a whole lot of infection. The nurses and doctors were amazing and McKall loved all the attention she got from them! And not to forget her favorite, the wagon, she LOVED it!
We got home and she had lots of sweet visitors that brought her some fun goodies!! She was able to dance in the revue and go to her preschool graduation that same week (which you'll see a couple posts back) with no problems at all! What a tough little gal!
Here I am, yet again THANKING my hubby, my mom, my dad, and my amazing sister whom I could not go through these hard times without. We have had so much help lately from some really awesome people. Still to this day we go to church or work or the grocery store and have lots of caring people ask how we are doing. It's so good to say, we are doing GREAT!! Now it's my turn....I pray every day that the Lord will help me know who I can be of service to and help in any way I can. I think it's high time us Mitchell's get a break from hospitals until October!!! ;)
Sorry these pictures are not the greatest...they were taken with our cell phones.

IT'S A........

BOY!!! YAHOOOO! I went to Maternal Fetal Medicine and had my 20 week ultrasound about a week ago! We took McKall and Wyatt with us and they loved seeing their little brother! We laughed at some of the crazy 3-D pictures the doc was getting for us, saying that he looked like an alien! LOL! We caught a picture of him sucking on something and it was the cutest thing! They said he looks fantastic and to just keep on takin my heart medicine and everything should hopefully be a-ok and I'll be able to deliever in Nephi. I've been feeling really good here lately and things are finally looking up, YAY...knock on wood ;)

This is one of the cool pictures the doc got for us! Looks like he is waving at us...so cute!

I'm not the best at keeping up on the belly pictures but here we are at 21 weeks.....

We're thinking about the name Easton James...James being after my grandpa, whom Dr. Feltovich said I have to thank for my bad heart ;) Love ya grandpa!!

She did it!!!!

McKall graduated from preschool on May 20th, a bitter sweet day. I know I've said this a thousand and two times, but I'll say it again and again....Mrs. Blackett is thee best preschool teacher EVER!! McKall is going to miss her so much! Lucky for us though, Wyatt will be going to see her soon enough! She has taught McKall so much and we cant THANK her enough for being so wonderful!
McKall, we love you so very much and are so proud of you! Your such a little smartie pants! WAY TO GO LITTLE LADY! ;) Kindergarten here we come!!!

A Night Of Stars!

McKall had her dance revue about 2 weeks ago. She loves dancing and she loves her dance teacher, Miss Lisa too...she is one talented woman!
She performed three different dances, I Want Candy, Pixy Hallow, and Pretty Woman. It was so much fun to watch all the cute dances! She's my favorite little dancer and we cant wait till next year!!

Mother's Day!

I have the best children in the world and to call myself their mother brings me so much joy and happiness! They mean the world to me and I cant imagine life without them! They gave me the cutest pot and flowers. Chandler said they planted the flowers in the pot all by themselves. I also have to say that I have such an amazing mom who is always there for me and helps me so much, I love her dearly. There are so many amazing moms in my life that I look up to and love! Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! (sorry I'm so late with this;)

Can you tell the sun was blinding us?!?

Easter 2011

I am so far behind that this is really not fun to read about anymore. Oh well, I still want to post about it to remember the good times! Chandler and I purchased our little family a sweet new trailer and decided to take it out west for a little Easter campage! Although it rained and we froze our nay nay's off we were still together as a family and enjoyed each others company! That's what it's all about.....

4-wheelers and motorcycles!

Eating mallows and flying kites!

Coloring eggs and sleeping in the new trailer!

I'm not sure what happened to the picture I had of Wyatt and his basket :( but he got just as much loot as McKall!

SO MUCH FUN!

Easter Sunday we went to Rachel's house and watched my favorite LDS movie, The Testement. Everytime I watch it I cant help but cry my eyes out. Chandler even said to me after, "gosh I dont think I've seen you cry like that before." Just sitting here typing this makes me think about it and brings tears to my eyes. It's a must see movie and it was a fabulous way to remind us all why we celebrate Easter! I love my Savior and my family with all my heart!

YEP IT'S TRUE.....

us Mitchell folk will be welcoming rugrat number 3 on Oct. 5th! YAY! We are SuPeR eXcItEd!! Since the day we told McKall and Wyatt it has been non-stop questions and fun! Wyatt is not too sure whats going on but McKall on the other hand is ecstatic! Every morning we get the famous question, "Is the baby coming today?!?!" This is going to be the longest 6 months of her life but she is going to be a HUGE helper! I have yet to make a little count down for her. She is totally wanting a little sister, but Wyatt and Chandler are hoping for a boy! I will be just thrilled with either! I mentioned to Chandler that him and I should just find out what it is and keep it a secret for everyone else. He doesn't think I can do it....gosh when I really think about it though, I dont know that I can! HA HA! We'll see!

On a more sickly note, it has really been quite the journey so far. I know the Lord wants us to multiply and replenish the earth, but my heavens why does it have to be so hard for some of us?!?! Maybe it's just that I'm a cry baby, whiney butt! HA HA! I know my pregnancy sickness is nothing compared to what some women go through, believe me I see it everyday working for the OBGYN. Then there are those women that breeze through pregnancy and yes I AM TOTALLY JEALOUS if you are one of them! I know that in the end though, he/she will be TOTALLY worth it!

I know this might bore some of you to death but I wanted to jot it down for my sake! It was about two weeks ago, my heart just started literally POUNDING. It would come and go throughout the day so I really didn't think much of it. I couldn't sleep that night and it took all I had to get myself and the kids ready that next morning. My heart would not slow down. I got to work and thought maybe after I sat down for a bit it would slow down but it just kept pounding. My blood pressure and heart rate were super high. Dr. Bailey told me to go home that night and take it easy, we would see if it was still happening the next day. I did just that and sure enough it was still happening. By this time I had started to feel light headed and dizzy. It seriously felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest. They tried a few things in the ER in Nephi, but they couldn't get it slowed down. Before I knew it I was in the ambulance and on my way to Utah Valley, the worst ride ever. Chandler was rushing home from work so my sweet sister (whom was by my side the entire time) rode in the ambulance, font seat style! I got there and seen the Cardiologist, Dr. Mitchell (he must be good check out his name!!) Anyways he had me do some different things to try and slow my heart down but it wasn't working. Next thing I knew they were giving me some adenosine to see if that would help slow it down. No need to google what this stuff is, I'll just tell ya....it seriously felt like death. Not that I know what that feels like but those are the only words I can think of to explain it. The Dr. said everyone says that it feels like death...scary. I felt like I was being pushed into the ground by a huge boulder. They layed me flat and all I remember was there were a ton of people standing around me and they were all ready to shoot this stuff in me. It scared Chandler and I both, but it did the trick. Chandler said my heart rate went sky high, then the stuff like shocked my heart and I flat lined for a few seconds but it finally went back to normal. The doc says I need to have an ablation done on my heart but I cant do it until after I have the baby. He said my heart gets confused and the top and bottom part kind of stop doing their job and the middle part is doing all the work. He said it gets stuck in like a spinning mode and cant stop. I am now on a medication called digoxin until I can get the procedure done.

Of course there is more.....the medicine gives me bad headaches and I got really sick for a bit and it was back to the ER. They put me in the hospital and said I was in a starvation mode. I couldn't keep anything down and lost like 6 pounds. The doc said I needed to get about 7 bags of fluid before I could go home. I was only there a couple nights. Oh ya and I found out that I'm allergic to Rocephin. Wow, I have never had an allergic reaction before, but dang it's not fun. Benadryl helped that, slowly but surely.

So there you have it, it's been quite the circus at our house the past couple of weeks. I go to Maternal Fetal Medicine on Friday. Dr. Bailey says he hasn't had a patient on digoxin for about 10 years so he just wants me to see the specialists to make sure everything is ok. I am starting to finally feel a little better, in hopes I can get back to work Monday;) and most of all so I can start being a mom and wife again! I have an amazing hubby and kids, they take good care of me! I also have amazing family, friends, neighbors, and ward members. Everyone has been so good to us. A great BIG shout out to my hubby, my mom and dad, and to my sister! The Lord really knew what he was doing when he blessed me with these AWESOME people! I love them all so much and I will get through this! :) :) :)

PS sorry there are no pictures and it's a super boring post :( Oh yes and I promise I wont complain this entire pregnancy! Just get me a big fat SLURPEE and we'll be good! ;)

7 years!

Chandler and I celebrated our Anniversary on March 12th!!! WOW. 7 years I've been married to the love of my life! It seriously does not feel like 7 years at all though...the time has flown by. We know our marriage is not perfect (and probably, so do you;) but we're doing our best. We have had some great times together and gone through some bad times but in the end we are eternal companions. I am so greatful for him, he does so much and works so hard to provide for our family. There is no one else that I would rather go though life with than MY MAIN MAN CHAN!!! HA HA (cheesy I know) Anyway, to celebrate our special day we went on a little date. We ate at Sizzler and went to the mall and did a little shopping and to a movie. We wanted to go somewhere and stay over night but it didn't work out that way. Our little date, being alone together, was just perfect! Your my best friend Chandler and your stuck with me!! I LOVE YOU! 7 years down and LOTS and LOTS to go!
