Ahoy Matey!!!

We had so much fun at McKall's Birthday party last Saturday! She decided she wanted to have a pirate party! It turned out cute and the kids had a blast! We rented a bounce house from a gal I work with...it was sTiNkIn AWESOME!! We hit a pinata, played musical chairs, ate yummy cupcakes, opened presents, and of course, bounced around in the bounce house! She got lots of cute, fun presents from everyone! Chandler and I gave her a Mobigo and we could not have done any better..she loves it! It turned out to be a fabulous party with wonderful friends and family....

McDonalds FuN!!!

Chandler and I decided since we were doing McKall's Birthday party on Saturday, that we would take her to McDonalds on Wednesday, her actual Birthday! She absolutley LOVES McDonalds and anytime you ask her where she wants to eat she says, MCDONALD'S!! The only problem is, I HATE it. I hate the play area because of all the nasty germs...it gives me the willies, and I'm not a fan of the food either!! Anyway, McKall was extatic when we told her we were going there and that she could take Hallie with us too! Wyatt had no idea what McDonalds even was...he said, "can I see Mickey and Minnie and Daisy and Pluto too?" Ha ha, not that Donald buddy. He loved it though! The kids would take a bite of food and run and play then come back for more then run and play! McKall ate her entire hamburger and fries, which I told myself I would write this down cause she actually ate all her food!! Wyatt has asked every day now, "can we go to donalds?" Maybe I should be more relaxed and just take a whole bottle of sanatizer each time we go and bathe them in it when we're done!! LOL! All in all, it was a fun time and McKall could not have been happier....

This is what McKall looked like going to school on her Birthday..it was "crazy day!" She thought it was the neatest thing to dress like this on her Birthday! She had pajama pants on and a nice shirt, missmatched shoes and socks, and we even painted her nails all differnt colors! She got to take a treat for her class and her teacher gave her a cute balloon with stickers to make a funny face! She thought this day was the coolest day EVER!!!

Yep...she's crazy alright!!

Happy 5th Birthday, McKall!!!

Gosh it seems so crazy to me to think that you are 5 years old! Where has the time gone? You came into this world with such a sweet spirt and so much love, and have been that way ever since. You are lots of fun to be around and loved by so many. You’re my big helper and such an awesome big sister! You are very smart and new things come easily to you, just like dad! You have such a big imagination! You love to learn, dance, read stories, color, play and sing! At times your our little drama queen but it keeps us on our toes! The past 5 years have been so much fun with you and we have made lots of great memories! Our family would be lost without you. We love you so much and are so blessed to have you as our daughter! Happy 5th Birthday SWEET girl!

SURPRISE!!!!

My mom turned the BIG Five-0 on November 6th! Rachel and I planned a last minute surprise party for her and she couldn't have been happier! We ate, played pin the tale on the donkey, the kids whacked a pinata, visited with family and just had lots of fun!! She had no idea and was so surprised! If your wondering why the heck Rachel and I are dressed like hippies...I decided since I bought a bunch of hippie stuff to dress up at work and didn't get to, that I would bring a little bit of my moms past back to her!! Ha Ha! Rachel was a hippie for Halloween too so she played along with me! Of course McKall and Wyatt couldn't be left out so they put their costumes on too! To be honest, I was a little nervous about the party and if it was going to turn out cause it was seriously, last minute. It turned out FABULOUS!! HAPPY 50TH MOM!! LOVE YA LOTS, and thanks for all you do for us! :)

Our name tags say, Old farts friend! :) In the bottom left corner, Whitney has one on her belly for her little baby girl, Whitley!

Thursday night Jan copied off some cute pictures of my mom when she was younger. We hung them all over town! We put some cute sayings on them like:
-Face it sweetheart your 50!
-Age is like underwear...it creeps up on you!
-Your still HOT...it just comes in flashes!
-You still look 20...from a distance!
-Inside every old person is a younger person wondering what the heck happened!
HA HA HA!
She had to work friday so we plastered them all over Conoco and she got lots of Birthday wishes and texts! We also put on the back of her blazer, "Honk if you think I'm old!" and put 50 all over! She said she got honked at quite a bit...funny stuff!! She still looks 35 years old though, we just had to give her a bad time and have a little fun!! :) Can you tell we were having way to much fun doing all of this...

We about wet our pants cause we were laughing so dang hard!!! LOL

Halloween

I know I know, I'm a little behind! :) This year McKall was Cinderella and Wyatt was Buzz Lightyear! McKall was so sad when I told her she wouldn't be able to wear her Cinderella dress for Halloween this year cause she was sick. She cried and cried, "please mom, please!" So I decided she could just put her dress on and we threw her crown in her hair. We didn't go to many houses before she decided she was done...poor thing. Wyatt loved every minute of it and was super excited he had his own bag with lots of candy! Although all he really cared about or ate was the BUBBLE GUM!! We didn't have the greatest Halloween this year, but we got through it!

My cute little Cinderella and Buzz...

Everytime I see this picture I can hear Wyatt saying, PEW PEW PEW..that's his laser sound!! I bought him a pair of Buzz Lightyear pj's but dorky mom didn't make sure they had a "red laser" on the arm. I cant keep up with him, washing the costume and him puting it back on...he's perma BUZZ, and the cutest one I've ever seen!!!

Our sick little girl...

Warning: this is going to be a very long post so if you just look at it and say, holy moly too much to read and just skip on to the pictures...I would probably do the same!

Where do I even start??? McKall gave us a little scare..ok a BIG scare this past week. Last Wednesday she woke up about 4:00 am screaming that her back hurt really bad. It scared the heck out of Chandler and I cause we had never seen her cry or hurt like that before. She had a fever of 102.7 and was screaming for us to take her to the doctor and make her back stop hurting. I gave her some tylenol and started getting dressed to take her to the ER. We got there and she seemed to have calmed down a little so I thought to myself, maybe I'll take her for a little ride and see how she does. Her fever broke and she fell back to sleep.

For about a year and a half now she has had these terrible leg pains that wake her from a sound sleep and she just cries. We were told they were just growing pains. So we thought maybe it was something like that and thought she was going to be fine, but that was not the case. She had another episode with her back and fever so we headed to the doctor. He ordered some fluids and blood work. After a little bit the doctor came in and told me her WBC count was way high and everything else looked good so they wanted to do a spinal tap on her to check for spinal menengitis. My dad gave her a wonderful blessing and just cried through the whole thing...he's one amazing man! The test came back negative...a big relief.

She was in the hospital for 2 nights getting fluids and antibiotics. We had no idea what was going on with her. All we knew was her WBC count had come down a little but was still scary high and her fever would not go away. My cousin Casey was the only person I could think about. The poor kid went to the ER for what he thought was gallbladder issues and was diagnosed with Leukemia...so so sad. His WBC count was very high and thats how they found out.

We talked with our Doctor and decided that Primay Children's was the best place for her at this point. We thought there was a chance our sweet girl could have Leukemia. We went home to get a few things ready to head up there. I went into the bathroom and got on my knees. I dont think I have ever prayed to my Father in Heaven so hard in my life. All of our family and friends were praying for her and all I can say, without a doubt in my mind, prayers are answered. We got to Primary's and they ran tests on her and told us it was not Leukemia...FEWWWW. It felt like a HUGE weight was lifted off our shoulders and we could breath again. She was only there over night and they diagnosed her with Enterovirus, which is in the family with Menengitis. There is no way of treating Enterovirus so it just had to run it's course. While they were checking her over one of the doctors found a heart murmur, something that is very common in children so we are not too worried about that but the doctor suggested we get it checked out to be on the safe side.

Just across the hall of our hospital room was a young boy who had to have a nurse sitting outside his door 24/7. I dont know what was wrong with the poor little guy but just thinking of it now brings tears to my eyes. There are so many sweet young children up there that are very sick or have medical illnesses. It broke my heart to see them like that but at the same time made me so greatful that we were only there because of something McKall was going to heal from lots faster then most of them.

We got home and the next day she started throwing up and couldn't keep anything down...back to the doctor we went. They did more blood work and her WBC count came down. She was just very dehydrated and needed fluids. Her fever comes and goes and she gets these migraine type headaches but she is on the mend. She looks so much better today then she did a week ago. In the end, we will be headed back to Primary's to see a Rheumatologist for her legs and a Cardiologist for the murmur. They are seriously amazing there! The doctors work in teams, which I think is so cool! Funny thing was, a guy I went to school with, Adam Ware aka Doctor Ware, was one of her doctors. When he walked in the room I was speechless! A great big thank you to him for being so stinkin smart and just plain wonderful! Also a big thanks to Dr. Rosenbeck, her Dr. here in Nephi. He asks me all the time how she's doing and was so concerned about her. His cute little kids even made a fun Halloween sack for her!

I cant say THANK YOU enough to our amazing family and friends, who we could not have done any of this without. We love you all so very much and like I said, cant thank you enough for all you have done for us! McKall got lots of flowers, balloons and goodies that she loved so very much! A little boy named Braxton, who is in McKall's preschool class, sent her some beautiful flowers! She was telling everyone they were from her boyfriend!! His mom, Kelsey, who I grew up with, said he did it all on his own...so dang cute!! Wow what a crazy/scary week we had. We love our children so much and to see them sick like that is painful. We hope like heck that kind of sickness will never enter our home again.
