Christmas at The Mitchell's!

We had such a great Christmas this year! Every year on Christmas Eve my grandma and grandpa rent a building at the fair grounds. We eat, play games, and just have lots of fun enjoying each others company. We also do white elephant gifts and laugh and laugh every year at the funny things everyone comes up with! We love it and the kids think it's pretty funny too! Then of course the kids get to open their new Christmas jammies, which is always fun!
Joni's gift was the funniest...a sweet hat with magnifying glasses...hilarious!

Jason and David got into a wrestling match, it was pretty funny! I'm sure if you ask David who won, he would say he did and if you ask Jason who won, he would FOR SURE say he did!! LOL! If you ask me, it was a tie!

I almost forgot to post a picture of these scrmuptious rolls Rachel and I made! They really were quite tasty if I do say so myself!! :)

I decided every year on Christmas Eve that Chandler and I would give the kids an ornament of their favorite character for that year! McKall got Tinkerbell and Wyatt of course got Toy Story! It turned out cute and the kids were excited and got to pick their own special place for them on the tree.
When we put out the cookies and milk for santa, Wyatt got mad cause he wanted to eat the cookies. He wouldn't even get in the picture cause he said, "no does are my cookies!" When he noticed the plate Christmas morning he got mad again and said, "Ahhhh, santa ate my cookies!" He is quite the kid, I'll tell you what!

The kids got spoiled this year, like always, and loved every single minute of it! I love to see their faces when they walk into the front room and see all the presents wrapped. McKall wasn't sure what to do, she was just super excited! Wyatt started jumping up and down saying, "HOLWEE COW!" It was the cutest thing ever. Our video camera has been acting up lately so we didn't get it on video, DANGIT!!
Chandler and I gave McKall a Cricket Doll and Wyatt a sweet Buzz Light Year! Cricket is so CUTE! I got one for Christmas when I was 7. Ya she is vintage for sure! You put tapes in her back and she tells stories and her eyes and mouth move...so CUTE! I LOVED her so much, she was my best friend. We got her on e-bay and she works great! When she came (all the way from England) Chandler pulled her out and I started crying...I know I'm a baby :( but it was so special to me and I couldn't wait to give her to McKall. She loves her and loves listening to the tapes and seeing her talk. Wyatt's Buzz has the utility belt and everything...he loves it! Chandler said he wanted to find something for Wyatt from his childhood but there really wasn't anything we could think of. Buzz is pretty dang cool!

Of course we cant forget about Max! He got a cute little hoodie and a soft blanket. He looks so dang cute in his hoodie and now his tiny little body can stay warm...

After all our presents were open we got dressed and went to Rachel Meggan's for breakfast...my favorite!! We had yummy waffles and lots of other yummy stuff! Then we opened gifts from my mom and dad. The kids got gift cards to Walmart and they cant wait to go spend them! The adults got new garments, something that Chandler and I were in much need of.
To end the fun Christmas weekend, everyone came over on Sunday to visit. Bart, Louise and their family came and Mitch brought his guitar. He's a dang good singer and I always get teary eyed...I love it! When I heard him play for the first time I was pregnant with McKall and had a good excuse as to why I was crying but now, like I said before, I'm just a cry baby. McKall loved it too! Her and Wyatt got cute little guitars for Christmas. McKall had Wyatt's guitar and was trying to be like Mitch! He sang a song called Cheese Burger in Paradise. Now she walks around the house singing, "Cheese Burger Paradise," and playing her guitar...it's pretty funny!

The kids were pretty worn out by the time it was all over and all they wanted to do was eat popcorn and watch "Little Rascals!" I dont think they even made it past a couple bites of popcorn and the previews.

I love spending time with family and having everyone over to our cute little home! We had a great Christmas and I cant believe how fast it came and went! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too! THE END

Temple Square

We were able to go to Temple Square this year, something I love to do at Christmas time. Although the last time we went was just before Chandler purposed to me! (ya it's been a few years, ok like 6;) I told Chandler we are for sure making it a family tradition to go every year. The lights are beautiful and it really gets me in the Christmas spirit! I love the special feeling you get when your there. I mostly LOVE seeing the statue of Christ and of course I cry every time...it's so pretty! It was a little crowded but other than that we had a wonderful time!

Boo Yah!

So last Sunday Riley, aka BYU Kicker #99, brought Wyatt this SWEET football! He got some of the BYU players to sign it for him. Riley knows how much Wyatt loves to throw the football so he wanted to get him one signed by the players. Wyatt was so excited and slept with it Sunday night. Thanks Riley, your the coolest guy we know!

Gingerbread House!

Last week we let the kids make a gingerbread house. It was hilarious cause all Wyatt wanted to do was eat it!! Everytime I turned around he was sneaking some and we would laugh and laugh. McKall didn't think it was too funny though, she kept saying, stop eating everything Wyatt or I cant make it look cute!
I told Chandler to put it together and we would just let them have at it and decorate it! They did a pretty good job for doing it by themselfs. There would probably be a lot more decor on it if Wyatt hadn't eatin most of it! LOL! They had a lot of fun building it and I think we'll make this a new tradition at the Mitchell house!

Happy 3rd Birthday Wyatt!!

Wow, it's hard for me to believe that you are already 3...but man you are one AWESOME 3 year old! You are the sweetest most caring little dude we know! The day we found out we were pregnant with you, we asked ourselfs, how can we love another child as much as we love McKall. You came into our lives and we had so much love for you that words cannot express! You have the cutest personality and your sillyness is always making everyone laugh! You love playing with McKall. Just the other day the two of you were playing and you said to her, "Call your my best fwend!" How sweet!
{You LOVE orange juice...I think we keep the Minute Maid company in business! You love popcorn and your blankie! You love to be outside and doing anything you can to help daddy! You are one smart little feller! Your favorite movies are Pirates of The Caribbean, Toy Story, Bolt, and Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles. Buzz Light Year is your favorite character and you pretty much live in your Buzz costume! You love to play "catch" with dad...your quite the little daddy's boy! You are always happy and bring so much joy into our family. We dont know what we would do without you! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!}

We love you Wyatt, TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!!!!

We got a ton of snow today so of course Wyatt had to go outside and help dad "clean it up!" We were going to build a snowman but it was raining and there was so much snow you couldn't even move in it. We had cake and icecream and Wyatt got lots of fun presents from everyone! Chandler and I gave him a Buzz tent, he loves it! Here are a bunch of pictures of our little "space ranger" on his 3rd Birthday...

MAXIMUS...

is what we decided to call our new little yorkie, and he's oh so cute! So last Friday I found this cute little guy on KSL for a sweet deal and my mind was set! The kids talk about getting a dog all the time and we decided it was time to try again. We had a dog named Toby a little over a year ago. When we brought him home he started foaming at the mouth and from then on out (we should have known) he just wasn't what we expected and we couldn't give him the attention he needed. He just didn't quite work out for our family but he went to a good home! We are excited to have Maximus in our family! He has been lots of fun and the kids cant get enough of him...

We found this SAWEEET poster on our way back to the car and couldn't pass by it without a picture! Oh he's so handsome...check out those eyes!!!

We laughed our butts off on the way home taking silly pictures of ourselfs! Preston could not keep his eyes open to save his life...I think the flash was gettin to him?!?! LOL! We were just a little tired, can you tell....
If you click on the picture to make it big, check out Preston in the top left one...he is trying OH SO HARD to keep his eyes open!!! HA HA HA!!!

Snow days...

The kids love playing in the snow and especially love helping dad shovel it! Wyatt says, "I help dad cwean up da snow!" It's sooo cute! Chandler has taken the last 4 days off work to use up some vacation and the kids have loved every minute. They've built snowmen, hung Christmas lights, played the wii, and just had fun hanging out with dad! Here are some fun pictures of the three people that I LOVE most....

Gobble till you wobble...

yep that's what we did on Thanksgiving...well atleast that's what I did! I ate so much my belly felt like it needed to stretch forever big!! LOL! That's what it's all about, right?!? Most importantly though, it's about family! I love spending time with family, especially when there is delicious food involved...and oh man was there ever!!! I'm so very THANKFUL for all the wonderful family I have and the many blessings in my life! :) I love Thanksgiving...

McKall made a cute turkey at school that we used to hold the delicious rolls Rachel made! Preston made the same turkey back when he was in Mrs. Blackett's preschool class. Yet again, Mrs. Blackett is oh so creative and it worked perfect for the rolls!

We cant leave out black friday...although I didn't get any pictures cause we were too worried about getting the "good deals!" My mom, Rachel, Michelle, Jan, Annie, and I left Nephi about 8:30 pm and headed to Walmart. They had a kitchenaid for $150 that I really wanted. They only had 8 and you guessed it, I GOT ONE..SAWEET! From then on it was one good deal after another! We had so dang much fun running around like crazy ladies, freezing our nay nay's off, standing in endless lines, getting ran into with carts, bruises on my leg, the whole SHABANG!!! We were so dang tired and got to laughing hard, talk about good times! It was about 4:30 when we finally got home. 20 hours of shopping is pure madness I know, but gosh it's fun when you have fun ladies to do it with! Until next year gals....

We had so much fun at McKall's Birthday party last Saturday! She decided she wanted to have a pirate party! It turned out cute and the kids had a blast! We rented a bounce house from a gal I work with...it was sTiNkIn AWESOME!! We hit a pinata, played musical chairs, ate yummy cupcakes, opened presents, and of course, bounced around in the bounce house! She got lots of cute, fun presents from everyone! Chandler and I gave her a Mobigo and we could not have done any better..she loves it! It turned out to be a fabulous party with wonderful friends and family....

McDonalds FuN!!!

Chandler and I decided since we were doing McKall's Birthday party on Saturday, that we would take her to McDonalds on Wednesday, her actual Birthday! She absolutley LOVES McDonalds and anytime you ask her where she wants to eat she says, MCDONALD'S!! The only problem is, I HATE it. I hate the play area because of all the nasty germs...it gives me the willies, and I'm not a fan of the food either!! Anyway, McKall was extatic when we told her we were going there and that she could take Hallie with us too! Wyatt had no idea what McDonalds even was...he said, "can I see Mickey and Minnie and Daisy and Pluto too?" Ha ha, not that Donald buddy. He loved it though! The kids would take a bite of food and run and play then come back for more then run and play! McKall ate her entire hamburger and fries, which I told myself I would write this down cause she actually ate all her food!! Wyatt has asked every day now, "can we go to donalds?" Maybe I should be more relaxed and just take a whole bottle of sanatizer each time we go and bathe them in it when we're done!! LOL! All in all, it was a fun time and McKall could not have been happier....

This is what McKall looked like going to school on her Birthday..it was "crazy day!" She thought it was the neatest thing to dress like this on her Birthday! She had pajama pants on and a nice shirt, missmatched shoes and socks, and we even painted her nails all differnt colors! She got to take a treat for her class and her teacher gave her a cute balloon with stickers to make a funny face! She thought this day was the coolest day EVER!!!

Yep...she's crazy alright!!

Happy 5th Birthday, McKall!!!

Gosh it seems so crazy to me to think that you are 5 years old! Where has the time gone? You came into this world with such a sweet spirt and so much love, and have been that way ever since. You are lots of fun to be around and loved by so many. You’re my big helper and such an awesome big sister! You are very smart and new things come easily to you, just like dad! You have such a big imagination! You love to learn, dance, read stories, color, play and sing! At times your our little drama queen but it keeps us on our toes! The past 5 years have been so much fun with you and we have made lots of great memories! Our family would be lost without you. We love you so much and are so blessed to have you as our daughter! Happy 5th Birthday SWEET girl!

SURPRISE!!!!

My mom turned the BIG Five-0 on November 6th! Rachel and I planned a last minute surprise party for her and she couldn't have been happier! We ate, played pin the tale on the donkey, the kids whacked a pinata, visited with family and just had lots of fun!! She had no idea and was so surprised! If your wondering why the heck Rachel and I are dressed like hippies...I decided since I bought a bunch of hippie stuff to dress up at work and didn't get to, that I would bring a little bit of my moms past back to her!! Ha Ha! Rachel was a hippie for Halloween too so she played along with me! Of course McKall and Wyatt couldn't be left out so they put their costumes on too! To be honest, I was a little nervous about the party and if it was going to turn out cause it was seriously, last minute. It turned out FABULOUS!! HAPPY 50TH MOM!! LOVE YA LOTS, and thanks for all you do for us! :)

Our name tags say, Old farts friend! :) In the bottom left corner, Whitney has one on her belly for her little baby girl, Whitley!

Thursday night Jan copied off some cute pictures of my mom when she was younger. We hung them all over town! We put some cute sayings on them like:
-Face it sweetheart your 50!
-Age is like underwear...it creeps up on you!
-Your still HOT...it just comes in flashes!
-You still look 20...from a distance!
-Inside every old person is a younger person wondering what the heck happened!
HA HA HA!
She had to work friday so we plastered them all over Conoco and she got lots of Birthday wishes and texts! We also put on the back of her blazer, "Honk if you think I'm old!" and put 50 all over! She said she got honked at quite a bit...funny stuff!! She still looks 35 years old though, we just had to give her a bad time and have a little fun!! :) Can you tell we were having way to much fun doing all of this...

We about wet our pants cause we were laughing so dang hard!!! LOL
